  5.     Melissa Dye joined the cast of the newest ABC Daytime drama "The City" as Molly Malone.  Molly is a struggling actress looking for her big break in the Big Apple.

  7.     Born and raised in DeKalb, Illinois, Dye is a graduate of Northern Illinois University.   She performed on Broadway as Little Red Riding Hood in Into The Woods and was the alternate for Christine in Phantom of The Opera before signing on as Molly on "The City."  Additionally off-Broadway, Dye received a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for her performance as Cungegonde in Candide and an Irene Ryan nomination for her role as Lili in Carnival.

  9.     Currently single, Dye is an avid cat lover and is fluent in French.  She relocated from her adopted home of Toronto, Canada to take the role of Molly.
